Well, I know I announced that they were going live on Monday, but due to a whole host of issues, they didn’t. All this week the Casual Collective was doing beta testing. I upgraded my account ($5) so that I could play the Desktop Armada Missions to help beta test it for them (Wow… what a success if they get people to pay them to beta test their games. Normally you get paid to beta test…).
Well, last night they finally launched. I went to play a few rounds of Armada and found this message:
Yes, that art is seriously ascii text. I viewed the source code, and they used “font” tags (instead of spans and css). Wow. I’m assuming they used some sort of ascii art generator, otherwise they did it the hard way. Still pretty cool though.
The whole site is now up, live, and free to use. The Desktop Armada Missions are out of beta, and free to play for even non-members. Check it out.
